Description
Yacon Root Drops
Yacon is a perennial plant of the composite family (Asteraceae). It is related to the Jerusalem artichoke and, like the latter, forms edible root tubers. The yacon plant has a high content of oligofructose. Oligofructose serves as a sugar substitute and is therefore particularly interesting for diabetics. Furthermore, the digestive enzymes cannot break down this oligofructose. The plant is therefore also used for digestive disorders with constipation, flatulence, gas, as well as for the regulation of lipid metabolism and type II diabetes.
