Unguentum Cereum (hydrophobic wax ointment) is an external preparation consisting of yellow wax (Cera flava) and peanut oil (Oleum Arachidis). Peanut oil is used to protect the skin and to care for dry and scaly skin. Unguentum Cereum also serves as a basis for the preparation of other ointments.
