Rosehips are the fruits of the dog rose (Rosa canina L.). The rosehip has a high content of vitamin C. It also contains polyphenols, fruit acids, provitamin A, vitamin E, manganese and boron, among others. Lycopene gives this fruit its red color. Rosehip ointment is used to nourish the skin.
