Lutein 6 mg Plus HP GPH Capsules contain the valuable combination of lutein and blueberry powder. Lutein is found in high concentrations in the yellow spot of the retina (macula), where it is essential for sharp vision. The function of lutein in our retina is to filter UV radiation. This stresses the eye and is directly linked to photochemical defects and the formation of reactive substances that impair the retina in the long term. Lutein also has a positive effect on age-related macular damage. If the retinal cells in the macula die off, vision in the central field of vision is impaired. This condition is often associated with a low lutein content in the center of the retina. As our body cannot produce lutein, an essential substance, it must be supplied from outside through food.
