Juniper (Juniperus Communis L.) is a plant genus of the cypress family (Cupressaceae). In folk medicine, the juniper berry is used in a wide variety of ways. The juniper berries are used internally for cystitis, loss of appetite, urinary stones, hemorrhoids and insomnia.
