Even then, there are ways to strengthen it: Immuna Capsules are a combination of beta-glucans, vitamin C, and zinc. Beta-glucans are complex polysaccharides that act as a kind of booster for our defences. In the intestine, they are recognised by macrophages in the intestinal mucosa, which stimulate them and initiate them to migrate to the lymph nodes and bone marrow. There, the beta-glucans are metabolized and bind to special immune cells, activating them. This process promotes the formation of additional defence cells. Vitamin C also contributes to the normal function of the immune system. Both, vitamin C and zinc, help protect cells from oxidative stress. Beta-glucans also contribute to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. The beta-glucans in Immuna® Capsules originate from shiitake mushrooms and undergo a gentle fermentation process.
