Bonsal® Pure Lecithin Tonic

Bonsal® Pure Lecithin Tonic is a natural product containing the nutrient lecithin. Lecithin (also: phosphatidylcholine) belongs to the phospholipids and is a natural emulsifier. As an important component of cell membranes and a precursor of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, lecithin plays a crucial role for the brain and nerve cells, and therefore also for cognitive performance and concentration. Often, the body’s own production and dietary intake are sufficient to cover the lecithin requirement. However, during periods of increased physical and emotional stress, pregnancy, growth, or with advancing age, supplementation with lecithin can be beneficial. Smoking, high alcohol consumption, and excessive intake of hydrogenated fats can also increase the need for lecithin. Increased intake of this natural product beyond normal dietary levels supports emotional balance and contributes to maintaining normal blood lipid levels. The lecithin contained in the tonic is of purely plant-based origin and is derived from corn, peas, soy, and wheat germ.
