Floradix® Lactoferrin 100 mg capsules are suitable for diet management in diagnosed iron deficiency anemia, also during pregnancy. They are also suitable for dietary management in case of rejection of iron taste or iron intolerance. The protein lactoferrin is extracted from cow’s milk in a special manufacturing process. Lactoferrin is also an immunological component of breast milk and is used in infant formulas. Lactoferrin is an iron-binding protein that affects the transfer of iron from the intestinal wall into the blood. Dietary management of iron deficiency anemia is thus accomplished through the administration of a nutrient.
